For over 50 years my passion for nature and spirit has inspired my dedication to cultivating beauty through painting, writing and diverse projects around the world. From Monet’s Gardens in France to remote African villages, to the Amazon rain forest, to Japan. My work has shown in Museums with Monet, permanent installments in corporate collections and in my historic Bohemian Artist home and Gardens in Monterey, California.
I am an artist, author, and creativity teacher. My aim is to celebrate Beauty, connect to spirit through nature and inspire others to weave a personal commitment to what they love, bringing purpose and meaning into each day.
I am perhaps best known for my work helping to cultivate Monet’s gardens and photographing them for 35 years. My photos have traveled with Monet’s paintings to eight museums, and are published annually in calendars and the award winning books, including best selling Monet’s Passion: Ideas, Inspiration & Insights from the Painter’s Gardens.
As a popular keynote speaker, I use the beauty of my photographic images, personal stories, garden metaphors, and humor to inspire the imagination of my audience to connect with what has heart and meaning for them, and to express their own creativity in their work and personal lives. I lecture at Museums, Botanic Gardens, and corporate events.
My workshops cultivate creativity using photography, drawing, painting, writing and time in nature. I have taught corporate groups at my historic home and garden, as well as all over the United States and abroad. From day longs with Fed-Ex, Google, Imax Theaters , AT&T, Chevron, Maybelline, and many others to weeklong intensives on the ship The World and The Gardens of Giverny painting and photography weeks in France. I invite you to join me sometime to plant and cultivate your own creative seeds with joy.
My personal work includes oil painting, photography, sketching and watercolor and garden making.
